Similarities of Art in Different Nations

The ancient world has influenced the Philippines’ art greatly. Everything you see; jars, jugs, majestic weaponry, jewelry, utensils, vases, and many more possessions that were uncovered from the graves of the Filipinos clearly show the culture of the ancient world before us.

One of the greatest artists came from Greece.
The Greeks are masters of painting. The most complete form of Greek art that has survived through the ages is that of vase painting. Greek vases are produced in different shapes for different purposes, wine or oil containers, drinking vessels, and even trophies awarded to the winning athletes in the Olympic Games.

Figure 1.4 shows one of the examples of one of the vases from Ancient Greece, while figure 2.5 shows a vase from the Philippines uncovered hundreds of years ago. Observe their similarities.
